Fitted with the latest Garmin 500 PFD and 650 gps students will be exposed to the modern avionics world from the beginning, ensuring they have no difficulties in the future and are not looked over in interviews .

iPad Over Heating and Shutting Down in Flight

A number of reports have been made regarding iPads overheating and shutting down while in flight. Cases have been reported for ipads operating of both battery and aircraft power. No Ipad Mini reports have be filed to date.
Pilots are reminded that such devices are for "situational awarness" and are not to be used as a primary source of navigation.
Keeping the device out of the sun and in a well ventilated area will reduce the risk of this happening.
